Job Description Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Lead to manage and guide our sanitation crew within the food manufacturing industry. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation standards while effectively communicating with multiple departments. Responsibilities Enforce company Lock Out Tag Out and food safety procedures across the sanitation team Train crew members on proper handling and identification of approved sanitation chemicals Ensure compliance with GMPs, regulatory standards, and company directives for product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety, and environmental practices Assign and oversee daily workload for sanitation technicians Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality teams to complete timely sanitation of equipment and areas Conduct sanitation audits and implement corrective actions when needed Partner with the Quality team to develop and improve sanitation procedures, techniques, and testing plans Support departmental training on SOPs, GMPs, and documentation requirements Maintain and service sanitation equipment, including preventative maintenance and recordkeeping Monitor crew performance to ensure adherence to SOPs and sanitation standards Perform routine sanitation tasks such as area inspections, cleaning, sanitizing, and auditing Prepare work orders, tool checklists, and assist with Master Sanitation Schedule documentation Report issues and concerns promptly to appropriate personnel Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a sanitation lead, with a preference for 2-3 years. Leadership experience and ability to direct others. Strong time management and problem-solving skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lemont, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
