Oak Lawn is a vibrant Chicago suburb known for its excellent amenities, supportive community, and easy access to top healthcare jobs in Illinois.\n \n\nTravel Nursing Job Details\n \n Location: Oak Lawn, IL 60453 (Chicago metropolitan area)\n Position: Registered Nurse – Nursing Administration (Travel)\n Setting: Surgical Room, Level 1 Trauma Center\n Employment Type: 13-week travel contract\n Start Date: 11/17/2025\n End Date: 2/14/2026\n Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620 - $2,690\n Hours per Week: 40\n Shift: 10-hour day shifts\n Free on-site parking \n \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state eligibility\n Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required (2-3 years preferred)\n BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)\n EPIC electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required\n Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room (OR)\n Critical care and trauma nursing experience at a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred\n First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply\n \n\nRegistered Nurse Responsibilities\n \n Provide clinical leadership and support in Nursing Administration within a busy surgical setting\n Coordinate and oversee patient care for outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases\n Participate in diverse surgical procedures, including transplant (kidney, heart), vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, open-heart, and pediatric surgeries\n Ensure accurate documentation using EPIC and hospital systems\n Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams: surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse educators, and resource nurses\n Maintain patient safety and quality standards in a Level 1 Trauma Center\n Support Gifts of Hope donor cases and hybrid operating room operations\n Adhere to rotation-based scheduling, including every 4th weekend and holiday coverage\n Respond to on-call requirements with a 30-minute response time (sleeping room available for on-call staff)\n \n\n \n Experience the rewards of a travel nursing job in Oak Lawn, IL—a thriving Chicago suburb with outstanding healthcare opportunities.
