Cynet Health to find a qualified Charge Nurse RN in Hazel Crest,
Illinois, 60429! Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Nursing Administration Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years
of Emergency Department experience, with at least 1 year of travel
experience accepted License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS,
ACLS; PALS preferred Must-Have: Cardiac rhythm interpretation,
strong IV skills, and basic Emergency Department knowledge of drips
and medication administration Description: Seeking an experienced
Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate
will have a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
Candidates with 1 year of travel experience and 2 or more years of
ED experience are also encouraged to apply. Patient types range
from neonates to geriatrics. Situations encountered may include
minor trauma, sepsis, COVID, STEMI, stroke, DKA, mental health
issues, respiratory issues, cardiac concerns, and neurological
issues. Travelers will not be expected to provide care in the
triage area. The RN patient ratio will be 1:5, with the 5th patient
being of low acuity needing minimal resources, which may occur
during surge times. Tech ratios will be 1:10-12. Required
competencies include cardiac rhythm interpretation and proficiency
in IV skills. Basic knowledge of drips and medication
administration as well as EKGs is necessary. Experience with the
EPIC charting system is preferred. Support on the unit will include
CNAs, a charge nurse, and phlebotomy staff for hard blood draws.
Scheduling will involve variable start times, with no
self-scheduling available. The completed schedule will be created 4
weeks in advance and provided 1-2 weeks prior to its start.
Candidates must be flexible and not expect block scheduling. Scrub
color is navy blue, and artificial fingernails or extensions are
not permitted for those providing direct patient care. Natural nail
tips should be kept less than one inch long. 5 Benefits of Travel
