Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant Dress Code: Scrubs Pay
Rate: 27.00/HR! Specialty: Medical Assistant Schedule: Monday -
Friday: 7:00am to 5:00pm Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: South Bend, IN Job Description: Brings patient into exam
room, obtains brief history of complaints, prepares patient for
exam and takes vital sign. Performs patient and family education,
counseling, and teaching. Performs clerical work consisting of,
referrals, scheduling appointments with other physicians and
facilities, filling out forms, and answering phones. Assists with
exam and procedures as needed. Stock rooms, takes care of
instruments and autoclaves equipment. Assists in the orientation of
personnel, with emphasis on nursing aspects. Gives injections.
Attends staff meetings and in-services. Assumes charge position as
required in absence of supervisory personnel. Performs other
duties/projects as assigned, or required Qualifications: Education:
Certification as Medical Assistant, or 1 year preferred Experience:
1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of
education and experience Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid
certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA)
preferred Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Verbal: Comfortable
communicating with patients of all ages and ethnic backgrounds
Active listening, social perceptiveness Monitoring of patient
vitals with clear and concise documentation Maintain HIPAA
compliance at all times Understand and follow OSHA regulations
(Blood Borne Pathogens) Experience with Electronic Medical Record
(EMR) systems, comfortable with computers, typing skills Must be
able to work in fast paced environment. High School diploma -
Required BLS (AHA); CPR, 1st Aid -Required If you’re interested,
