Job Description:

Our great client has an immediate remote opening for a Senior Java Developer. If you are interested please apply with resume to aboettcher@apexsystems.com .We are looking for an application developer to upgrade legacy applications to latest versions of JAVA, Spring & Hibernate.In this role, you will work with an application development team to upgrade, test and remediate vulnerabilities for the applications. The team will consist of a Tech Lead, QA, BA and Senior Application Developers.

• Develop high quality, secure, scalable & maintainable software, abiding by coding standards
• Review code with other developers to share project and technical knowledge
• Deploy projects within build and deploy pipeline
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA testers to plan and execute in a high-energy Agile environment
• Participate in technical planning, determine tasks associated with project assignments, estimates and dependencies
• Update and modernize code to the latest supported versions to ensure security, stability, and support
• Further develop continuous testing and secure coding standards
• Effectively communicate project status and deliveries to team and management
• Run scans and remediate vulnerabilitiesDo you have what it takes?Education: Completion of Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate Degree.Experience:
  • Between 2 and 5 years of experience using Java
  • Experience with Agile methodology using Scrum or similar
  • Working knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, API development, web-enabled applications, and relational databases
  • Ability to create and execute test cases using Junit with a mindset toward continuous testing
  • Ability to create scalable technical solution designs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills (upward, lateral and downward)
  • Eye on continuous improvement
  • Forward thinking on long-term vision/goals
