Performance Foodservice, a prominent leader in the food distribution industry, is seeking a dedicated CDL A Delivery Route Driver for day shifts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our diverse product range. The ideal candidate will uphold the safety standards of our fleet while providing exceptional service across various routes, enhancing our commitment to customer satisfaction. This position requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic, physically demanding environment where precision and efficiency are paramount. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver products on assigned routes. Manage routes and routines to proceed in the most efficient way possible. Conduct vehicle inspections and comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards. Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are properly secured. Accurately complete paperwork and logs related to deliveries. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Maintain communication with dispatch to report any issues or delays. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Excellent time management to maintain schedule adherence. Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting, bending, and maneuvering heavy goods. Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
