We invite you to join us, fulfill your purpose and make your mark!Are you ready to challenge the expected to deliver the extraordinary?Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.Responsibilities:The Journeys and Adventures that AwaitPositions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physicianExplains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperationMoves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distancePractices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staffObtain patient's pertinent historyMaintains crash cartMaintain and stock inventoryMaintain OSHA regulationsPerforms Dexa scans where trainedPerforms other projects and duties as related to department objectiveMust be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rulesReport to lead technologist for work assignmentsWill assist with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the departmentAssists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the departmentQualifications:The Experiences You BringA minimum of an associate's degree in Radiology is required from an accredited institution.Must be ARRT registered or eligible to sit for the ARRT certification exam.Must be licensed with the State of Illinois in X-ray to perform X-ray procedures.CPR certification.6 months to 2 years related experience preferred.INDHP
