Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION: Under limited supervision, serves as a point person for Human Resources, processes payroll, employee training, benefits, manages personnel records, assists with hiring and onboarding, training, and special projects. REPORTS TO: Executive Director ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Prepares and submits required paperwork for payroll, summarizes timecards, distributes paychecks and maintains personnel files * Leads GPTW program, ensuring all Action Plan goals are completed before the quarterly meeting * Leads New Employee Orientation training program, follows up with new hires, to ensure higher employee retention * Collects Missed Time Punch forms and updates payroll and timeclock system * Prepares New Hire Documentation and maintains personnel files in compliance with FLSA * Provides report of exiting employee interviews and feedback regarding reasons of leaves * Daily provides Missed Meal Break report to leadership in morning meeting * Ensures New Hire training is complete and file is in compliance with state regulation * Ensures existing employee training is complete and file update in compliance with state requirements * Provides training related to Employment Handbook policies in New Hire Orientation, serves as orientation facilitator * Supervises Receptionist position * Completes new hire background check, drug screening, i9 verification, arranges health screening, and other new hire documents before orientation * Submits weekly report to HR and Payroll Benefits Administrator communicating, new hires, exits, worker's comp status updates, leave of absences, i.e. * Reports Workers Comp claims, serves as a witness during reporting calls, follows up with employees, ensures Return to Work training and process is complete, submits status to Human Resources. * Assist employee with completing and requesting accommodations under the ADA process. * Assists employee with request and completion of FMLA documents and return to work. * Post open positions, assists supervisors with resume screening and interviewing. * Serves as a point person to employees with questions related to Human Resources policies. * Prepares and mails Job Abandonment letter with assistance of Human Resources. * Assists with documenting job performance and serves as a witness to corrective action meetings. * Ensures that all paperwork is completed related to resignations and terminations. * Participates in All Staff meeting, partners with Executive Director to provide training to topics related to Employee Handbook. * Assists with employee status changes (Full time / Part time), departmental position changes. * Assists Executive Director with employee investigations (serving as a witness, gathering personnel records, time reports, i.e.) * Maintains Performance Evaluations calendar to ensure reviews done timely in accordance with EEO. * Conducts Exit Interviews, participates in employee appreciation program, event planning. * Purchases necessary office supplies and office equipment for all departments; * Performs other related essential duties as required. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in related capacity. Associates degree or combination of educational classes is highly preferred. Experience in Human Resources and or training is highly preferred. Payroll experience is required. CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: * Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law * Health evaluation to ensure ability to perform duties of the position and the absence of any communicable disease, including tuberculosis and CXR clearance. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Knowledge of: * Principles of organization and functions of long term care communities; * General office operations, functions, and procedures; * Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiently; * Principles of management and supervision.
