Hudd Transportation, a division of Maersk, is looking for contractors to help fill our service requirements.

At Hudd, we do not just hire owner operators to fill in a slot. We will not hire more owner operators than what we have work for. With the work we have now until 4th quarter 2022, we see an immediate need for more contractors.

What we are looking for are the following attributes:

• A year of CDL A experience
  
• A solid driving record
  
• A well maintained truck
  
• A willingness to do honest work every day
  What we can offer you:

  • Home daily When we say home daily, we mean home daily. Most of our owner operators work a 10-12 hour day and are done by 1300 to 1500.
    
  • Flexible start and end time We have loads and dispatch available 7 days a week. We can work with you to work around your personal requirements.
    
  • Manifest logging We follow all FMCSA rules and are allowed to operate Local Haul ELD exempt. Owner Operators are required to fill out a manifest of their day. No need to purchase a 700 dollar device for your truck.
    
  • Drop and hook freight Your time is valuable. 99.87% of our freight this year has been drop and hook.
    
  • No forced dispatch We ll give you your moves the night before. There is typically more work after the main moves are done. We will offer the work to you if we have it.
    
  • Dedicated freight We are a house trucker for 2 major companies. You ll be taking the same roads every day. Seeing the same people every day.
    
  • Locally dispatched Our dispatch team lives and works in Will County. We understand what the traffic and weather is like because we drive through it too!
    
  • No touch freight You are a contractor, not a lumper. Last thing you want after driving all day is to be pulling freight off a container.
    
  • Paid vehicle inspections We have a contract with a vendor. When your truck is due for its inspection, just drive in and drive out without paying a penny.
